Version 2026-10-13 · Effective October 13, 2026

EDM.Social is an iPhone app for finding electronic music events in US cities. This page covers the personal information we collect and what happens to it.

What we collect

When you sign in with Apple, we get an account ID from Apple, plus your email address and name if you let Apple share them.

Your profile holds your display name, username, home city and photo. A bio, gender and birthday are optional.

We record what you do in the app: the city you browse, the artists you follow, and the events you open, save or hype.

If you allow location access, we use your location when you ask the app to find your nearest city. We do not track it in the background.

Our servers keep logs, which we need to run the service and keep it secure.

We do not collect your contacts, your photo library, your browsing outside the app or an advertising ID.

How we use it

We use your information to run the app and your account and to recommend events and artists you might like. We count activity across all users to see which events are popular; those counts are not tied to you. We check profile text and photos for inappropriate content. We also use your information to fix problems, protect the service and meet legal requirements.

Device permissions

Location and calendar access are optional, and you can turn them off in your iPhone's Settings. We use calendar access only to add an event when you ask us to. Picking a profile photo does not give us access to your photo library.

Who can see your information

Other users cannot see your profile or your activity. EDM.Social has no public profiles, user search or messaging. When you hype an event, your hype is added to the total shown on that event, without your name.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not show ads, use ad trackers or send marketing email. We share information with companies that host our servers, handle sign-in and screen photos for us, and they must protect it. We also share information when the law requires it or when someone's safety is at risk.

Ticket, streaming and map links open other companies' apps and websites, and their privacy policies apply there.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. Older activity records, logs and backups are deleted on a set schedule. We may keep a small amount of information longer for safety reasons, to enforce our Terms, or because the law requires it.

Deleting your account

To delete your account, open Settings in the app, tap Edit Profile, then tap Delete Account. Your account closes immediately. If you sign in again within 30 days, it comes back. After 30 days we permanently delete your account and its data, apart from the limited information described above. Logging out clears your data from your phone but leaves your account in place.

Your rights

You can see and edit your profile in the app, and you can delete your account at any time. For a copy of your data or any other privacy request, email us. Making a request will not change how we treat you.

California residents

Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to have it deleted, and we may not discriminate against you for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as the CPRA defines those terms, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you.

Children

You must be 16 or older to use EDM.Social, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think someone under 16 has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the version number at the top, and the app asks you to accept the new version before you can keep using it.
